Jason Gareau and his son, Brody, started Gareau Property Management & Maintenance to provide Long
Beach Island owners with a true hands-off rental solution. If you rent your home on VRLBI or VRBO, you
know that booking the rental is only part of the job. Managing contracts, rental funds, security deposits,
tenant communication, cleaning, maintenance, and in-season issues can quickly turn a summer rental into
a summer responsibility.

As lifelong Long Beach Island residents who own and manage several rental properties in New Jersey,
Jason and Brody Gareau understand both the expectations of renters and the level of care owners want for
their homes. Responsive management is critically important for short-term rentals, and owners need
someone who can manage the full rental process from start to finish.

Our process begins by analyzing the rental value of your property so it is positioned properly in the
market. We then arrange professional photography and help establish or update your listing on the
platform of your choice, including VRLBI or VRBO, so your property is presented professionally to
prospective renters from the start. For the same 10% fee commonly charged by traditional rental agents,
Gareau Property Management & Maintenance provides full-service support throughout the rental process.

WE ARE HERE

If a problem comes up during a rental, we field the call, coordinate

with a reputable local contractor, make sure the repair is handled
promptly, pay the vendor directly, and then seek reimbursement
from the owner based on the repair bill. Whether it is an air-
conditioning issue, a plumbing problem, or an appliance that stops
working, we resolve it quickly and professionally so the owner does
not have to.


Our goal is simple: to allow owners to enjoy the benefits of renting
their property without having to spend their summer managing it.
Finally, we also offer property maintenance services for all
owners on the island. We want to be your go to source whenever
something comes up from as small as a hose needing to be replaced
or as big as needing a new roof. Again, we will field the call or text
and promptly address whatever the issue or question at hand and
provide solutions or quotes from local reputable companies. Our
fee for this service would be 10% of the final bill and will not
exceed a total of $100.00.
